This page explains how Calculus Calc creates, checks and updates its content.
Our standards
- Accuracy first. Every formula, worked example and practice answer is checked before publication.
- Clarity. Articles open with the direct answer, then explain the reasoning with fully worked examples.
- Usefulness. Each guide links to an interactive calculator pre-filled with its example, so readers can try variations immediately.
- Independence. Advertising never influences what we write or what our calculators output.
How we check the math
- Derivatives stated in our articles are compared numerically with the true rate of change at several points.
- Antiderivatives are verified by differentiating them and comparing with the original function.
- Definite and improper integrals are checked with adaptive numerical integration.
- Limits are checked by evaluating the function ever closer to the limit point.
- Worked numbers (tables, iterations, estimates) are recomputed independently.
The same engine powers the site’s solver. It never uses eval() on what you type; it parses your input into a mathematical expression tree, which keeps it safe and predictable.
